Fernando

39-year-old Fernando recently lost his job when the local poultry factory he worked for closed down. He worked in the factory warehouse as a forklift driver for fifteen years. He immigrated to America six years ago and needs to pass the HSE test.

Fernando struggles with reading comprehension. In his previous warehouse job, he witnessed work-related injuries, and he would really benefit from understanding workplace safety guidelines so that he can make appropriate decisions.  Fernando is now hoping to get a  job at the Adult Ed Med warehouse so that he can support his family.
